FINCHAMPSTEAD bowler Sam Taylor took seven wickets for the 3rd team as they lost to Purley-on-Thames.

The batsmen let Finches down on the day but Taylor’s figures of 7-72 were the best anyone could muster across the borough.

Wokingham bowlers Jacob Clark (6-27) and John McDonald (6-63) rounded off the top three.

As for the batting, Ankush Gandhi’s knock of 182 for Waltham St Lawrence was unmatched.

Mac Keast (124no) from Finchampstead and Chris Lunn (110) for Wargrave were the other big scorers.
