A BOROUGH music group invites audiences to enjoy Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in March.
Crowthorne Symphony Orchestra (CSO) will be joined by soloist Elizaveta Tyun for their next performance.
A favourite with audiences, she played Beethoven’s Concerto with the group in 2024.
CSO’s forthcoming programme also includes Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition orchestrated by Ravel, Debussy’s Prelude à L’après Midi d’un Faune, and ballet music from Holst’s opera, The Perfect Fool.
Crowthorne Symphony Orchestra, led by musical director Robert Roscoe, performs three concerts a year at All Saints Church, as well as a family Christmas concert at St John’s, Crowthorne.
The musicians describe themselves as an enthusiastic, friendly group who make music for enjoyment’s sake, but who take rehearsals, practice and concerts seriously.
Players are of all ages, from all walks of life, and from all parts of the borough.
The group welcomes new players, and invites competent players (including those who haven’t played for a while) to enquire about joining.
To hear Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, people should make their way to All Saints Church, Wokingham, on Saturday, March 28, at 7.30pm.
Earlybird tickets, (offering a £3 discount) are now available until Sunday, February 8, costing £14.
Recent CSO concerts at All Saints have sold out, and high demand is anticipated for this next programme.
