Hundreds of people took the opportunity to say farewell to a Berkshire institution last weekend.
Carters Steam Fair held its last public open day at its White Waltham yard last weekend, with the public taking the final chance to see the remaining rides and buy memorabilia.
For owner Joby Carter it was a weekend of mixed emotions.
He said: “We have been humbled by the outpouring of support.
“I’ve always said that I am merely a custodian of these heritage rides.”
