Wokingham’s Market Place has a new retailer this week.
More than 480 WH Smiths’ high street stores were sold in June to Modella Capital, with the intention of being rebranded as TG Jones.
The store rebrand happened in Wokingham last weekend, but users of the newsagent, books and stationary retailer will not notice any significant changes – including with the Post Office which remains part of the business.
The WH Smith’s name will continue to be used at airport, railway station and hospital outlets.
WH Smith’s has a long history in the town, and was originally located on the opposite side of Market Place from its most recent location.
