A SCHOOL in Woodley which caters for children with additional needs is celebrating after being deemed Outstanding by Ofsted yet again.
Addington School, in Woodlands Avenue, was visited by inspectors on October 17 who deemed the school to be meeting ‘pupils’ needs even better than before’.
The inspectors reported that the school’s leadership team had ‘maintained the outstanding quality of education in the school since the last inspection’ and that since the appointment of headteacher Sara Attra in January 2017, the school’s strengths had been built upon and remained a ‘centre of excellence’.
Mrs Attra said: “We are delighted to have achieved an Outstanding rating from OFSTED once again. It has been four years since the last inspection, and we are thrilled that OFSTED found that ‘the curriculum now meets pupils’ needs even better than before and pupils report they feel safe and happy and enjoy their lessons.’
“The staff and governing body has worked tirelessly to ensure that Addington School provides the very best, local special needs provision.”
