The Rotary Club of Wokingham has brought the 2024–25 Rotary year to a successful close by welcoming three new members, and formally handing over the presidency from Nick Campbell-White to Bruce Weir.
The new additions highlight the club’s continued growth and relevance in the local community. The inclusion of Berkshire County & Co Ltd. an independent family-owned estate agency. as a corporate member reflects Rotary’s commitment to building strong links with local businesses to support charitable and service-based initiatives.
At the handover meeting in June, members thanked outgoing president Nick Campbell-White for his dedicated leadership over the past two years.
His double- term saw a range of impactful projects, fundraising efforts, and community engagement activities across Wokingham and the surrounding area.
Incoming president Bruce Weir, who outlined his strategic vision at the club assembly in May, will lead the club from 1st July with a focus on Leadership, team building, and planning.
He also hopes to inspire the club’s younger members to take on leadership roles.
He said: “We’re fortunate to have a diverse and committed membership.
“By encouraging newer and younger members to step forward, we can keep our club vibrant, relevant, and ready to meet the needs of our community.”
