THE new season at Nettlebed Folk Club continues on Monday, February 9, with a visit from Scottish band Breabach.
This multi-award winning band say they are dynamic and fun and have a distinct sound with songs, tunes and step dance accompanied by double bagpipes and bass, flute, fiddle and guitar.
Last autumn they released their latest album, Frenzy of the Meeting.
Alongside traditional songs, contemporary tunes and original compositions from each band member, the album is themed on today’s frenzied experience of global politics, media and the natural world as well as focusing on the positive fevered hive of innovation, creativity and pioneering music within the Glasgow music scene, to where the band belong.
Songs from the CD will no doubt be performed when they appear at the Village Club in Nettlebed’s High Street on Monday.
Doors open by 7.50pm and the concert start at 8.15pm. For more details, call the box office on 01628 636620 or log on to www.nettlebedfolkclub.co.uk
