Two huge developments are catching everyone’s attention this week. One just starting to be considered, and one where spades are about to hit the ground
850 homes off Easthampstead Road – between Bracknell and Wokingham and Wokingham Without – (Bracknell 241933)
An application has been received for 850 homes on green land close to the new South Wokingham development and to Jennett’s Park.
The land is on notoriously dangerous roads which may be improved by the South Wokingham Distributor road.
Not many details are yet available with documents yet to be uploaded to the Bracknell Planning Portal but it is expected that this first planning permission will only decide where the access will be to the site.
The development is expected to be a residential-led village with up to 850 dwellings including a neighbourhood centre, a public open space, play areas, allotments, drainage and other infrastructure, landscaping and demolition of existing buildings on the site.
It’s expected that there will also be an application for the proposed Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace with associated car parking and landscaping.
Former Bus Station site (Bracknell 21/00707/OUT)
A large development is set to be launched in Bracknell Town Centre next month.
Brickmark Place by Countryside Homes has planning permission to provide 88 one, two, and three-bedroom flats.
They are just a part of a 169-home development on the former bus-station site off Market Street in central Bracknell.
The 88 homes will be for sale privately with a show home on the 16th floor and will feature contemporary fitted kitchens with integrated Bosch appliances, Amtico flooring, and bathrooms with modern fixtures and some will have balconies.
Whilst the two and three-bedroom apartments will include on-site parking, one bedroom units will share parking spaces.
