A new community hub in Warfield has been given the go ahead following a meeting of Bracknell Forest Council’s planning committee.
Warfield Community Hub will be owned and operated by Warfield parish council and is a joint project with Bracknell forest council.
The hub will be located on Priory Fields and will provide a wide range of modern facilities for people of all ages.
It will be designed to be environmentally friendly, and will aim for zero carbon emissions when operational, as well as a BREEAM Excellent rating.
When complete, the hub will open 7 days a week, and will include:a café serving food and drinks throughout the day, multi‑use spaces available for hire including meeting rooms and function hall, a large sports hall suitable for a variety of activities, a modern dance and fitness studio, enhanced sports pitches at Priory Fields, a new children’s play area, improved greenway and bridleway routes for walking, cycling and horse riding, car parking and cycle stands, and a new base for Warfield parish council.

“The new community hub will bring high‑quality leisure, social and wellbeing facilities together in one place, with sustainability at the heart of the project.
“We’ve undertaken extensive work to ensure the building is operationally net zero.
“It will be designed to use as little energy as possible, with excellent insulation, airtight construction and triple‑glazed windows.
“Low‑energy heating systems, smart controls, solar panels and battery storage will ensure the hub can run on clean, efficient power.
“The hub will serve as a model for future sustainable developments.”
Initial vegetation removal will begin on site, with construction due to start in late spring 2026.
The hub will be built by Neilcott Construction, who, with their design team, contributed to achieving planning permission for the site.
The hub is anticipated to be operational in 2027.
