MORE than 600 residents have submitted almost 1,100 brilliant, funny and creative ideas to name Wokingham Borough Council’s new waste vehicles.
Residents can now choose their three favourite lorry names, from suggestions like Binderella, Recyclosaurus Rex, Obi Wan Binobi, Trash Gordon and Mr Bincredible.
They can also choose two favourites for the council’s sweepers, including Sweep Caroline, The Grim Sweeper, Shaun the Sweep and Sweep Dreams.
The most popular names will appear on the vehicles when the council’s new waste contract begins in June.
Voting is open until 27 February, with winners contacted and announced in early March.
