BINFIELD progressed through to the FA Cup first qualifying round after they beat Lymington 3-2 to set up an away tie against Harrow Borough.
The Moles started the game on the back foot as Lymington had a long spell of possession in the Binfield half.
But it was Binfield who would take the lead after 23 minutes had been played as Sean Moore opened the scoring. The lead didn’t last long as Lymington responded just two minutes after Binfield had taken the lead to level the score as House lobbed the ball over Williams to convert.

The Moles then had the opportunity to restore their lead as they were awarded a penalty with just over half an hour of the first half gone. Josh Howell stepped up to take the responsibility and buried the spot kick past the keeper to put Binfield in front once again.
Howell gave Binfield a two-goal cushion for the first time in the cup tie as he scored a stunning free-kick in the 65th minute to put the Moles in control of the contest.

A stoppage time goal from Lymington would prove to just be a consolation as Binfield held on for a 3-2 victory to book their place in the FA Cup first qualifying round where they will play Harrow Borough over the weekend of 6-9 September.
Binfield manager Roger Herridge said: “We had to work hard for our reward this afternoon. Enjoying football more now than I have for many years. This man Carl Withers had made a massive difference to our dressing room. Real togetherness on and off the pitch. A wonderful group of players who will only get better.”
