BERKSHIRE-based cancer charity My Cancer My Choices (MCMC) held its inaugural Charity Casino Night at The Coppid Beech Hotel, Binfield – and what a night it was, say organisers.
Tthe charity was looking forward to seeing how people dressed for its Casino Royale themed event.
Guests did not disappoint.
Their Bonds, Bond girls and Bond characters were a sight to behold, say organisers.
From the 120 attendees, winners of the best Licence to Thrill outfits were Ian Pogue and Kathryn Riley, who received a bottle of 007 Champagne.
The evening was buzzing with fun at the casino tables, with dancing to a live singer and a disco, a putting competition and healthy rival bidding on the auction prizes.
“The Casino Night was such a fabulous event, we all really enjoyed soaking up the wonderful entertainment and atmosphere,” said CEO of My Cancer My Choices Claire Rhodes.
“The night raised an incredible £7500.
“This will help us support more people living with cancer by providing free complementary therapies which improve wellbeing during their treatment journey.
“A massive thank you to everyone who came and supported the event, to our sponsors, and to the fabulous volunteers, especially Jayne Trolley and Stuart Rowsell who thought up this concept.”

My Cancer My Choices provides a safe space for people affected by cancer to access free complementary therapies, including acupuncture, reflexology, massage, reiki and mindfulness.
Its therapies are designed to reduce the side effects of conventional treatment whilst supporting the person’s physical and emotional wellbeing.
The charity has offered comfort and personalised, people-centred support to more than 2,000 individuals facing cancer over the past decade.
It is reliant on fundraising to provide its services, and says that proceeds from events are crucial.
MCMC is currently seeking more volunteers, including therapists, and people willing to help with fundraising events.
Its next fundraisers include two quiz nights and a golf day.
