WHEN reading this article, you’re not just seeing ink in various shapes on plain paper.
It’s much more than that.
The ink is formed into words, words which convey information, sentences with meaning.
The structure and complexity indicate deliberate design by an intelligent source.
The longest word I have used so far contains 11 letters.
Two weeks ago, the death was announced of James Watson aged 97.
He shared a 1962 Nobel Prize with Francis Crick and Maurice Wilkins for discovering that deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA, is a double helix, consisting of two strands that coil around each other to create what resembles a long, gently twisting ladder.
All of us, in each of our trillions of cells, have DNA strands with a unique code made up of the equivalent of 3.4 billion letters!
These strands define us and have all the information that we need to grow, reproduce and function.
DNA is passed on from parents to their children.
Some would argue that we originated by accident but with this degree of structure and complexity the obvious conclusion is that we have been produced deliberately by an intelligent creator.
Our DNA is clear evidence.
Both ‘word’ and ‘creator’ are combined in the Biblical description of Jesus.
He is the Word of God and through him all things were made.
Our creator became human and lived on this planet to reveal God’s character, love and rescue plan.
It is a message well worth discovering.
