A SELF-ADVOCACY group for people with learning disabilities in the Wokingham Borough has been working hard to keep the town looking its best.
Members of CLASP’s clean up crew have been working their magic in Elms Field, Langborough Recreation Ground and Howard Palmer Gardens.
The team gave all three green spaces an early spring clean as part of their sponsored walk and litter pick.
The group raised over £1,000 for CLASP, and are still welcoming donations.
Independence support worker Michele Munro, said: “CLASP does an annual sponsored walk and litter pick.
“We like to give back to the community and give members an opportunity to help raise funds to support CLASP activities.
“This year we helped to clean up the town centre.
“We were delighted to be offered refreshments afterwards at the town hall, courtesy of Katy, and Wokingham Town Council.
“It’s a win-win for CLASP and the Wokingham community.”
