At St Mary’s Church, Twyford their Crown It event meant about 60 people gathered to watch the coronation.
The service was broadcast on the church’s large television screens used during services instead of hymn books.
Churchwarden Lucy Bowley said: “People from within the community who don’t necessarily come to church came along. It was brilliant to see them.
“We had children’s activities at the back of the church so they were occupied during the ceremony.
“Afterwards we had a barbecue.
“The event was organised by the social group who run social activities in one of the four churches, St Marys, Twyford, St James, Ruscombe, St Nicholas, Hurst and Twyford United Reformed Church each month.”
