STRICTLY was down to the magnificent seven this week and Debbie McGee rose back up the leaderboard.
The BBC Radio Berkshire presenter survived the dance-off last week and this week returned to form with an Argentine Tango, which she and partner Giovanni Pernice danced to Por Una Cabeza by Carlos Gardel and Alfredo Le Pera.
During a solo dance, Debbie and Giovanni scored 38, placing them joint first on the leaderboard, alongside Joe McFadden and Katya Jones. However, she slipped to second place following a Pasa Doble dance which saw all seven pairs take to the dance floor together.
Debbie performed the splits three times during the routine, leading to the judges heaping praise for her efforts.
Craig Revel Horwood said that she was unbelievable and he wished he could dance like her.
He ended his comments by saying ‘Wow, wow, wow!’
Darcy Bushell also heaped praise on Debbie, saying that she was outstanding, extraordinary and stunning.
And Shirley Ballas said that the dance was emotional.

After all seven dances had taken place all the remaining couples took to the floor for a simultaneous Paso Doble-thon.
Debbie and Giovanni came third, behind Joe McFadden and Katya Jones and Alexandra Burke and Gorka Marquez.
Now they face an agonising wait to see if they’ve made it through to Strictly’s 11th week, where the theme is musicals.
Strictly scores for Debbie and Giovanni’s solo dance:
- Craig 9
- Darcy 9
- Shirley 10
- Bruno 10
