A LOCAL businesswoman is celebrating after scooping a nod in a national award scheme.
Deepa Patel Robinson, who runs a Creation Station scheme in Wokingham, was highly commended in the Can Do Attitude category of the franchise company’s award scheme.
The mum of two found out that she had received this accolade during a gala evening held at Cadbury House in Bristol earlier this month.
The Creation Station aims to inspire imaginations through fun, educational and safe tried and tested creative art and crafts experiences. The sessions include hands-on creative fun for parents with newborns, parents and baby and preschoolers classes, after school clubs, family events, parties and adult and elderly craft events.
Ms Robinson said: “I am so delighted to have won this award, it is a very special award close to my heart as it is for my attitude and just goes to show that dreams are achievable with the right mind frame.
“I am passionate about promoting creativity to all ages especially children. Developing their imaginations, challenging the norm, creating their own unique creations and the pride on their faces is a delight to see. It is the most rewarding job, one that I love.”
And her dedication to her work has been noted by head office.
Sarah Cressall, founder and managing director of Creative Station, said: “Deepa is a real inspiration to both her community and our whole network for her dedication, passion and inspiring imagination in the local community.
“I am very proud of all of our Creation Station family, so judging the awards is really tough. Each year our 124 franchise owners are becoming more and more successful and the calibre is really high.”
