A BOROUGH music group has released earlybird tickets for its forthcoming concert.
Crowthorne Symphony Orchestra’s next performance will feature the Saint-Saëns Organ Symphony, which audience members may also recognise as the theme from Babe.
Organist David Pether, well known for playing at services, ceremonies and recitals throughout Berkshire, will join the orchestra for the symphony, on the recently refurbished All Saints organ.
Alongside music from Saint-Saëns, the programme includes works by twentieth century composers based on music composed over 100 years earlier: Hindemith’s Symphonic Metamorphosis on Themes of Weber, and Britten’s Soirées Musicales based on melodies by Rossini.
Completing the programme is Britten’s Symphonic Suite from Gloriana.
The event will take place at All Saints Church, Wokingham, on Saturday, March 29, at 7.30pm.
From Monday, February 10, tickets will cost £15 for adults, or free for 18s and under.
An earlybird discount of £2 applies automatically from now until midnight on Sunday, February 9.
