A WOKINGHAM school has announced the official opening of its newly renovated, multi-purpose dining room.
The Emmbrook School venue has been serving students for the past year, but the school took an opportunity to thank those who made it possible by inviting local councillors, local advisors, senior leaders from The Circle Trust, and The Emmbrook School Leadership team to join a celebration.
The state-of-the-art dining space has quickly become a favourite with students, and is used not only for dining, but for study sessions, and school events.
The new space has not only enhanced students’ daily experience but has also created a welcoming environment for the entire school community.
In his opening remarks, Headteacher Nick McSweeney expressed his gratitude to all who contributed to the project.
He said: “We are incredibly grateful for the support and dedication of everyone involved in bringing this project to life.
“The new dining room has already made a significant impact on our students’ daily lives, offering them a comfortable and vibrant space to enjoy.
“However, we must also acknowledge the resilience and patience of our sixth form students, who had to vacate their previous space to make this project possible.
“We are committed to ensuring they receive their new building as soon as possible.”
Guests at the event enjoyed a tour of the new facilities, along with refreshments prepared by the school’s catering team, Aspens.
Emmbrook School looks forward to the continued success and enjoyment of the new dining room, and remains dedicated to improving its facilities for the benefit of all its students.
