KEEN borough gardeners will be displaying the fruits of their labours at an annual autumn show in Wokingham.
Having battled to hydrate crisped carrots and parched potatoes this hot dry summer, members of Wokingham Horticultural Association will proudly display their hard-won vegetable gardening successes.
Dahlias, chrysanthemums and roses also feature heavily at this time of year, and fruits on display will either be freshly picked, or in cakes and jams.
Children’s sections, flower arranging and domestic categories provide a range of opportunities to enter the show.
Visitors on the day will be able to enjoy a colourful display, with refreshments available.
The event will take place at St Paul’s Parish Rooms, on Saturday, September 13.
Doors will be open from 2pm until 4pm, with prizes awarded at 3.45pm.
