VISITORS to two borough horticultural centres will be able to enjoy coffee, and other drinks, while supporting two local charities next month.
Squire’s Garden Centres at Hare Hatch and Wokingham invite customers to visit their Charity Coffee Morning support of their Charity of the Year partners, Age Concern Twyford & District (Squire’s Hare Hatch) and CLASP Wokingham (Squire’s Wokingham).
As its Charity of the Year partnership draws to a close for 2024–2025, Squire’s is taking the opportunity to celebrate the year’s achievements, raise additional funds, and build lasting connections between the charity and the local community.
Held in its garden centre Café Bars, the community-focused event offers an opportunity to catch up with friends, meet new faces and support good causes, over a hot or cold drink.
For every beverage sold during the event, including organic Fairtrade coffees, teas, iced coffees, smoothies and milkshakes, £1 will be donated directly to the two groups, with representatives from each centre’s Chosen Charity attending their event.
Sarah Squire, Chairman of Squire’s Garden Centres, said: “Our Charity of the Year programme is a valued part of our community work and something we’re incredibly proud of.
“The charity coffee morning is a simple but meaningful way to bring people together while making a real difference to causes that are close to our hearts locally.
“We hope our customers come together and join us for a warm welcome and a cup of something special to mark the event.”
The Charity Coffee Morning will take place at Squire’s Wokingham, and Hare Hatch garden centres, on on Monday July 7, from 9am until 11am.
No booking is required, and people can just turn up.
