A BOROUGH music group is preparing a programme of the very best in show music.
Woodley Concert Band’s (WCB) night of songs, Showstoppers, promises its audience a variety of musical items from Broadway and the West End.
The line-up will include classics from Mack and Mabel, the very popular Wicked, and music from musicals maestro, Andrew Lloyd-Webber.
“As a real treat, we’ll also be joined by two amazing vocal soloists performing some of their favourite show songs,” said Cathy Hughes from the band.
“And we have sneaked in a few other pieces which are most definitely showstoppers.
“Audience members might even need their jig shoes for one of them, and we think it’s going to be a great night out.”
The concert will take place at The Bulmershe School theatre in Woodley, on Saturday, March 15.
Tickets cost £15 for adults, £13 for over 65s, and £5 under 16s.
Free tickets are available for people who have never been to a WCB concert through the group’s First Timers Scheme.
