On Monday 3rd July Evendons Primary school had its sports day.
First of all we went down to the tennis courts and we played some tennis. The parents threw the tennis balls to us and we had to bat the ball back to them to get a point.
Next we threw heavy discuses as far as we could, it was very fun!
My favourite things was shooting the footballs.
Then we did some basketball, I threw the ball straight into the hoop. After that we had to throw the beanbags as far as we could and I threw it the furthest, it was epic!
In the back garden we did archery and an obstacle course. In the hall there was gymnastics and I climbed all the up the rope ladder and the rope, it was good fun! Finally we did some dancing with Lucinda our music teacher and ended by doing massage with Lucy.
We massaged each others feet and backs after a tiring day.

On Monday 3rd July Evendons Primary School had their Sports Day.
While the Receptions and Y1s stayed at the school the Y2s, Y3s and Y4s went to our nearby secondary school Luckley House School who had kindly invited us to use their facilities for the day.
There was a wide range of activities from shot put and javelin to four running events. This was to build up key values including sportsmanship, courage and resilience.
The Sports Day event was a competition between our school’s five houses; Brooklyn, Menai, Millau, Severn and Waterloo to see who could win this year’s shield. There was long jump, high jump, cross country running and relay races between house’s year groups, to name a few.
My favourite event was cross country – our class ran the furthest and I came in third place which I was really pleased with.
We had lots of volunteers to help us run all the events. It was a very hot day so everyone had to have some water with them to drink throughout.
Lots of parents came to watch our sprints and relays at the end of the day and my house overall won the relays and sprints but we still do not know the total scores.
The overall winner will be announced on Speech Day later in the month which we’re all very excited about!
