F.C. Bracknell earned a fantastic win on the road today, defeating Drayton Res 4–2 on penalties after a hard-fought 0–0 draw in the Berks & Bucks Cup.
Drayton came into the tie unbeaten all season, with an astonishing record of 42 goals scored and only 3 conceded but the young Bracknell side refused to be intimidated, delivering a performance built on organisation, commitment and pure heart.

First Half
Manager Calvin set the team up brilliantly, and the lads carried out the plan from the first whistle. They stayed disciplined, pressed intelligently, and matched Drayton physically in every area of the pitch.
Goalkeeper Will was in superb form throughout, commanding his box, dealing with everything thrown at him, and helping secure a well-deserved clean sheet.
Skipper Jake was immense at the back, leading calmly, communicating constantly, and keeping the defensive line solid and focused under pressure.

Second Half
As the game went on, Bracknell grew into the contest, showing resilience, teamwork and real maturity against a strong opponent. Every player dug deep, fought for one another, and ensured Drayton’s dangerous attack never found a breakthrough.

Penalty Shootout
When the final whistle confirmed a 0–0 draw, the game headed for penalties, where Will became the hero.
Goalkeeper Will produced two magnificent saves, reading the strikes brilliantly and giving his teammates the platform to finish the job.
Bracknell showed nerves of steel from the spot, converting four excellent penalties to seal a 4–2 shootout victory and book their place in the next round
Against one of the most in-form sides in the competition, this was a performance for FC Bracknell to be proud of, full of grit, belief and unity.
