TICKETS have gone on sale for one of the first firework events to take place this year.
The Twyford & District Roundtable will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the RAF at the event, which will take place on Saturday, October 27 in the village.
The group are promising that it will be an explosive spectacular packed with a host of entertainment as well as the display.
And residents will be able to pick a cinematic villain as the guy that will be burnt on the bonfire thanks to a new poll that will be launched on Facebook.
Attractions include a barbecue, a real ale bar, mulled wines, hot chocolate, fairground rides and glow sticks.
Twyford and District Round Table Chairman Mark Robinson explained what the local group brings to the community and the bonfire night in general. “As men of the local community, we can’t wait to present a fantastic bonfire show with a firework display that commemorates the last 100 years of the Royal Air Force.
“We want to celebrate not only the achievements of these brave individuals but also show that our local community provides us with a stage to have a fantastic night.”
“I would also like to also emphasise that this is a volunteer group who stage this event for charitable causes will all proceeds from ticket sales, food/drink and glowsticks going to local charities.
If you are interested in what we do, and you are a male aged 18-45 interested in joining us, please do get in touch!”
“This year we are trying some new ideas such as advanced online ticket sales to provide more readily available ticket options. Please keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter feeds for more information about the night.
“I would like to thank our main sponsors, Ballards Estate Agent and Haweli restaurant, who we could not do this without.”
The event takes place at the George V Recreation ground off Loddon Hall Road in Twyford.
