At 5:55am on Saturday, July 19, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue received reports of a fire on High Street in Crowthorne.
One crew from Crowthorne fire station was sent to the scene.
A spokesperson said: “Upon arrival, crews found a fire in the kitchen of the flat.
“Firefighters used one hose reel to put out the fire, before using a ventilation fan to clear the smoke from the property.
“Crews also gave immediate emergency care to one person, before safely placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
“They were on scene for approximately one hour and eight minutes.”
