A PERFORMANCE of a Woodley group’s autumn production will help raise funds for a good cause.
Woodley Theatre is staging Rory Kinnear’s play The Herd from Tuesday, September 24 to Saturday, September 28.
The play won the Critics’ Circle Most Promising Playwright Award in 2014 in London and focuses on a family gathering that doesn’t go the way it should.
Set on the 21st birthday of Carol’s severely disabled son Andy, who doesn’t turn up at all, it is a heartfelt portrait of a family falling apart – then pulling together – when life doesn’t turn out quite the way they wanted.
The opening night will be a special gala performance organised by The Rotary Club of Loddon Vale and take place at the Oakwood Centre in Woodley.
Tickets are available from Trevor Barber at £10 each. Only 60 are available and half have been sold already.
