STUDENTS at a Woodley school are celebrating a record-breaking set of GCSE results today.
The Bulmershe School cohort have achieved a significant increase in top grades and overall performance.

Nearly a third of all results were the top grades of 9-7, and an impressive 65% of all grades were 9-5.
The year group has earned a very strong progress score of +0.5, which means students have achieved half a grade better in all their subjects than students of the same ability nationally.

Headteacher of The Bulmershe School Amanda Woodfin said: “It is with immense pride and joy that I share the outstanding achievements of our Year 11 students. These results are an historic high for our school and reflect the extraordinary effort and resilience of our young people, supported by their families and our dedicated staff.

“We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them.”
The school also noted that while the national average for grades 9-4 has fallen slightly to 67.4%, the school’s own 9-4 results have increased again this year to 75.4%.
