The first residents have moved into Bovis Homes’ Coronation Fields development in Finchampstead.
The developer is building 140 new homes on the site of the former Reading Football Club training ground, off Park Lane.
Work started on site in Spring 2023, and when completed the development will include a mix of 84 two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes, and 56 affordable homes for low-cost rent or shared ownership.
All homes will have solar panels and electric vehicle charging points. The development will also include 10 acres of green open space, including a community green, children’s play area, informal playing pitch, wildlife areas and footpaths.
Amber Bowley, regional sales director for Bovis Homes, said: “Coronation Fields is really taking shape now that the first homes are complete, with a steady stream of new neighbours moving in.
“This development has been planned to offer green open space, parks, and a pond, so there will be plenty to encourage our new residents to get outside for some exercise and fresh air.
“That’s very much in the tradition of this location, with its history of professional sport in its previous use as a training ground for Reading Football Club.”
There are two show homes to view at Coronation Fields, which are Bovis Homes’ three-bedroom Cypress house style and the four-bedroom Aspen.
Bovis Homes is part of Vistry Group, which also includes Linden Homes and Countryside Homes. There are three-, four-, and five-bedroom houses currently for sale at Coronation Field priced from £560,000.
