Bracknell Forest Council is appealing for help to identify those responsible for a fly-tipping incident discovered along Wellers Lane just after 2:00am on 18 December 2025.
The illegal dump contained mainly remnants of a DIY project and a sofa. Council officials are asking anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have dashcam footage of the incident, to come forward.
“We would particularly like to hear from anyone who saw someone carrying or offloading the materials, or who may recognise the items in the photographs,” a spokesperson said. “If these goods were collected from your property, please also get in touch.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Public Protection Partnership on 01635 503242 or email [email protected], quoting reference SR130916.
The council highlighted the wider consequences of fly-tipping. “This is not a victimless crime. It damages the environment, poses serious risks to public health and wildlife, and costs taxpayers thousands of pounds every year in clean-up and enforcement. Illegal dumping blights communities, undermines local pride, and diverts resources away from essential public services.”

Those caught fly-tipping can face fines and even prison sentences.
The Public Protection Partnership (PPP), which is delivering this appeal, provides environmental health, licensing, and trading standards services on behalf of Bracknell Forest Council and West Berkshire Council. Working with Wokingham Borough Council, the PPP also oversees trading standards, financial investigations, and case management across the three authority areas.
