On July 21, the Wayz Youth Centre held its annual Woscar award evening, recognising the achievement of the young people who use the centre, volunteers that make it happen and the organisations that support it.
The Rotary Club of Easthampstead received its Woscar in recognition of its continuing support for the club, based in Bracknell.
Rotarian Mike O’Donovan, who accepted the award, said: “We are honoured that The Wayz has awarded us a Woscar.
“We are proud to support this amazing, unique organisation that gives so much support to young people of all ages in Bracknell, both to enjoy themselves and to develop their life skills.
“It is a very special place.”
Easthampstead Rotarians are a group of 40-odd (and not-so-odd) men and women from Bracknell, Wokingham and local villages who have fun together and support local and international projects helping others.
