Police increased patrols in Wokingham town centre and surrounding areas last week as part of an operation targeting road safety offences and the use of e-scooters.
Thames Valley Police said officers issued four traffic tickets during morning patrols in the town centre, with seatbelt offences among the most common. Police also provided advice to drivers on safer road use.
In the afternoon, officers focused on e-scooter enforcement in residential areas. Police said e-scooters are illegal to use on public roads and pavements unless part of an authorised trial, describing them as uninsured vehicles that pose a risk to other road users.
One e-scooter was seized on Oxford Road by a neighbourhood officer during the operation. No further e-scooters were reported in use in the town centre later in the day.
Police said the reduced number of offences compared with previous operations may indicate improved compliance following earlier enforcement activity.
Officers said they would continue to monitor the issue and encouraged residents to share concerns about road safety through local neighbourhood surveys.
