Cllr Prue Bray, Wokingham’s deputy council leader, visited Barchester’s West Oak care home in Wokingham.
She joined residents of the home for a garden party last weekend, where celebrations included live entertainment and an Italian themed buffet.
General manager at West Oak, Simona said: “It was lovely to have Prue here for the afternoon.
“The residents were delighted she was able to visit us and join in on the day.
“We all had a wonderful day, and we hope that Prue will come to see us again soon.”
West Oak care home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers.
It offers nursing care and dementia care for 61 residents, including respite care and long-term stays.
