THERE’S now a choice of three locations for residents to have their broken household items mended.
Fixers at three borough venues can help repair a wide range of household items, keep replacement costs down, and reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
Broken appliances, toys, and games are just some of the things that can be repaired in Woodley and at two venues in Spencers Wood.
Assistance is free, but donations are welcomed.
Woodley Repair Cafe operates on the first Sunday of the month, at Christ Church, Crockhamwell Road, between 2pm and 4pm.
This group is keen to recruit more fixers.
In Spencers Wood, a repair cafe takes place in the village hall, on the first Sunday of the month from 10am until 1pm, and at Lambs Lane Primary School, on the third Sunday of the month, from 10am until 1pm.
The next events are on the following dates:
Christ Church, Woodley, on Sunday, February 4, between 2pm and 4pm.
Spencers Wood Village Hall, on Sunday, February 4, between 10am and 1pm.
Lambs Lane Primary School, on Sunday 18, from 10am until 1pm.
