LOCAL Wokingham retirees are being invited to celebrate Easter early with their families at a local retirement development.
McCarthy Stone’s Oakingham Place is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt and is encouraging local people to come along.
Sam Burley, divisional sales director at McCarthy Stone, said: “Easter is the perfect time to bring the local community together in a fun and interactive way, and what better way to do that than with a good old-fashioned Easter egg hunt?
“It’s a great opportunity to get the whole family involved in something ‘egg-citing’ whilst learning more about our unique brand of retirement living. “We hope to see you at Oakingham Place and look forward to celebrating this special time of year with you.”
All are welcome to the event, but retirees and their families are especially encouraged.
Chocolate eggs will be hidden in and around the landscaped gardens, and there will be a prize for whoever finds the most hidden treats.
Homemade hot cross buns will be on offer, and treasure seekers over the age of 18 can accompany their visit with a glass of fizz.
The Wokingham development offers 34 luxury one and two bedroom retirement apartments exclusively for the over 60s.
Retirees will be able to tour the accommodation and facilities, and to meet homeowners to hear how they are enjoying retirement there.
The event takes place at Oakingham Place, Reading Road, on Saturday, March 16.
Doors are open for the hunt between 1pm and 3pm.
Entry is free but places must be reserved.
