A GROUP that shares the love of reading in Wokingham, is branching out.
At their second read-aloud group, this time in Finchampstead, people can relax while listening to stories and poems read aloud.
Organiser Fiona Dignan, said: “ The Wokingham group has become a band of friends.
“It’s also a place to chat and have conversations.
“We read the literature, and then we often find that it prompts us to talk about the big life issues we’ve just heard about.
“It’s a moment when we step out of normal life to read, connect and share our thoughts and experiences.”
Fiona hopes that the second read-aloud group in Finchampstead will be just as valuable to its members.
The Wokingham group meets at Wokingham Library every Tuesday, from 12.15pm until 1.45pm.
The new Finchampstead group, previously known as Tea and Tales, will meet at Finchampstead Library, at the FBC Centre, on Mondays, from 2pm until 3pm.
The next event is on Monday, June 17.
It is free, and people can just drop in.
