Wokingham MP Clive Jones, has been ranked as the UK’s 7th most active new MP in 2024 after giving nearly 1,000 parliamentary contributions.
tatistics released by PoliMonitor ranked the activity of the 335 new MPs in the UK last year, including their written questions and spoken contributions in Parliament. Half of the MPs named on the list of top 20 most active were Liberal Democrats with 10 new MPs named. The other half of the list consists of five Conservatives, three Independents, one Labour and one Green MP.
In 2024, Clive Jones gave 446 written questions,155 spoken contributions and 334 early day motions, bringing his total Parliamentary contributions to 935.
He gave the third highest number of spoken contributions and the fourth highest number of early day motions out of all new MPs in the UK.
Jones said: “I am delighted to be named in the top 10 most active new MPs last year alongside many of my Liberal Democrat colleagues across the UK.
“I have returned to parliament this week, where I’m continuing to advocate for the constituents of Wokingham and raising many residents’ concerns directly to the government.
“As the MP for Wokingham, I pride myself on being an active and vocal representative for residents and I will continue to do so as Parliament resumes.”
