A TALK later this month will look at the history of military knitting.
Joyce Meader will be heading to Wokingham Library in Denmark Street to explain the knit ones, purl ones of the miliary from the Crimean War through to the present day.
The expert has built up a collection of patterns from the 1800s upwards – and has even knitted garments from them. Some of these have been used in film and television productions.
The talk takes place from 2.30pm on Wednesday, February 27.
Tickets cost £5, and can be booked in advance by calling Wokingham Library on 0118 978 1368.
