LITTLE Heath School’s headteacher has said he is “delighted” with this year’s GCSE results.
David Ramsden, from the Tilehurst school, congratulated the year 11 students on their determination to achieve their best.
“The results today demonstrated what a talented group they are,” he said.
“Right from the start, when they joined the school in year seven, they have been a hard-working and determined year group.
“In the past 18 months, the pupils have experienced a key stage 4 programme like no other, yet they have demonstrated resilience and commitment throughout their GCSE courses.”
Mr Ramsden mentioned some students for their “outstanding” results.
Charlie O, achieved grades 9 to 8, while Charlie S, Danielle, Ella, Daniel, Lillie-Rose and Max all gained grades 9 to 7.
Benjamin F, Jacob T, Daisy Y and Abigail have achieved grades 9 to 6.
And students who made significant progress from starting key stage 2 included Daniel B, Afroz, Jess S, Ria, Jake F, Josie C, Sophie K, Luke T and Rebecca S.
