Reading FC Women have announced their retained list for the upcoming 2017 season.
The club successfully preserved their WSL 1 top flight status and have begun the rejig ahead of the Spring Series before the main season commences next autumn.
Strikers Helen Ward and Jade Boho Sayo had already announced their departures but four more names have also been announced who have been released at the expiry of their contracts.
Key figures of the WSL 2 promotion winning side Lois Roche and Laura-May Walkley will both be leaving the club.
Roche, a columnist for The Wokingham Paper during last season, joined Reading in 2012 after a spell with Arsenal among others but struggled for game time after an early season injury.
Fellow midfielder Walkley also featured regularly in WSL 2, but barely played in the last few months.
Stobbs and Cox joined during the 2016 season and both had spells in the side, but their stays have not been extended.
A club statement read: “We would like to thank them all for their commitment and dedication, and would like to wish them every success for the future.”
Wokingham Sport will have an exclusive interview with manager Kelly Chambers next week.
