A man has been jailed after a series of multiple theft offences in the Bracknell area.
Shane King, aged 31, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to seven counts of theft from a motor vehicle, five counts of vehicle interference and three counts of theft from a shop following a hearing at Reading Magistrates Court on Saturday (11/10).
King was sentenced to five months’ imprisonment.
Between 16 September and 29 September, King committed 15 offences across the Bracknell area.
He was arrested on Friday (10/10) and charged the same day.
Investigating officer, PC Ryan Murphy, said: “This individual has been convicted for a series of thefts from vehicles, vehicle interferences and shoplifting offences across the Bracknell area.
“As the Neighbourhood Officer for Bracknell South, I want to make it clear that crime of this nature will not be tolerated.
“The Neighbourhood Team works tirelessly to protect our community and ensure residents feel safe, and that their property is secure.
“This investigation was conducted in close partnership with Detective Constable Hindley from the Priority Crime Team, whose support was instrumental in bringing this offender to justice.
“We remain committed to tackling persistent offenders and will continue to work proactively with our partners to prevent crime and safeguard our neighbourhoods.”
