Marvellous Mess is a fun, creative baby group designed by Stephanie Cranston, a paediatric nurse. Using Montessori-led ideas underpinned by the curriculum and tailored to milestones, messy play offers a chance to enhance a baby’s natural skills through the excitement of exploration, sensory experiences, and cause and effect. Classes are limited to 8 so babies aren’t overwhelmed and get a chance to really play at each station, which provides activities to be led by the parent and baby. Stephanie has been a qualified paediatric nurse for 14 years and has always used the art of play to help her and her patients in their care from a holistic approach.
Stephanie is a mother herself to a little boy in Wokingham and is keen to set up a baby class in the area for parents and babies. Classes are great for babies but also parents/caregivers who want to connect with other parents/caregivers when inspiration at home runs dry, as it does! So hopefully the class can bring some connection between mums, dads, grandparents, caregivers or more for an hour of the day where mess is created outside the home.
