A FIRM of financial planners celebrated the opening of their new offices with a textbook donation.
Concept Financial Planning donated £500 to the maths department at Edgbarrow School, with the aim of boosting financial literacy.
The firm’s concept director, Carl Wilkinson, visited the school to present the gift to its head of maths, Denise Holloway, and headteacher Stuart Matthews.
Paul Richardson, the firm’s managing director and a chartered financial planner, is a former pupil of the Crowthorne secondary school.
He said: “We often have conversations with clients’ children who are heading off to university and provide them with a Student Information Pack that covers bank accounts, credit cards, credit reports, budgeting, and cash flow management.
“We have also delivered numerous presentations to sixth formers on budgeting, especially when going to university.
“We are all passionate about financial literacy for young people and this starts with being comfortable with numbers and mathematics.”
Concept Financial Planning says it focuses on creating personalised financial plans. It has opened in Crowthorne’s High Street and also has an office in Reigate.
