Wokingham town mayor Cllr Lou Timlin has spoken to Wokingham Today following the Winter carnival.
She said: “It was fabulous to see so many families and people of all generations in Wokingham on Sunday, enjoying everything that the Winter Carnival had to offer.
“There really was something for everyone, with bands and choirs, street performers, stalls and fairground rides, not to mention all kinds of delicious food on offer!
“It was my privilege to be able to turn on the Christmas lights with Santa and the mini-mayor, Avani.
“We really enjoyed singling the carols, along with the choir, to music from the amazing St Sebastian’s band.
“I have to say a huge thank you to the Wokingham Lions who organise the whole event.
“They, and this incredible event, really embody the community spirit we are so fortunate to have in Wokingham.”
