Wokingham town mayor, Cllr Lou Timlin, was on a walkabout in the town on Monday morning.
She popped into several new businesses, including SAFA superstore in Peach Street which opened its doors two weeks ago.
Speaking about the regular meetings and chats with new retailers and businesses in the town, she told Wokingham Today: “This is all about making these new businesses part of our town.
“For me, being mayor is all about inclusion, and making sure everyone feels included as part of our community.”
Speaking about the variety of products available at the new south Asian groceries focused shop, she added: “I’m definitely coming back.
“I’ve seen quite a few things that my daughter, my husband and I will like to try.”
