A WOKINGHAM care home invited school pupils from St Teresa’s Catholic Academy to join them at their Macmillan coffee morning fundraiser.
The event at Murdoch House Care Home raised more than £100 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The youngsters from the Wokingham primary school visited the care home residents to help decorate cakes and biscuits for the event, which saw family and friends from the local community joining residents and team members for a cuppa and a chat and to enjoy a selection of delicious cakes.
Resident, Auriol Bithell, 91, said: “I loved spending time decorating cakes with the children and I think they enjoyed themselves a lot.”
The care home’s Magic Moments coordinator, Molly Hughes, said: “We’re all very keen to help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support here at Murdoch House, as it is a cause close to many of our hearts.
“A huge thank you to the pupils and teachers at St Teresa’s for helping to make our coffee morning such a success.”
