A new shop is set to open in Wokingham this week.
Giftology will open on Friday, April 5, in what was formerly Beyond the Download in Rose Street.
The new brand is a new concept from Georgina Hustler-Sutton, the owner of Maison Rustic and Antique Rose.
Maison Rustic closed its doors last weekend.
Georgina told Wokingham Today: “Renovations have been progressing well, as you may have seen from our socials,
“Signs are up and upstairs is ready for Maison Rustic to move in.”
Giftology will offer what it describes as a “.. carefully hand-picked selection of unique gifts in Wokingham.”
Maison Rustic, which will be based above, will continue but with a new twist, featuring rustic furniture, home accessories and decor.
Speaking to Wokingham Today in January and revealing her plans, Georgina said; ““I really believe in Wokingham and, hopefully, our move and rebranding to ‘Giftology’ will be supported by Wokingham shoppers.”
A statement on its website said: “We are excited to share the start of a new chapter for Maison Rustic with you all.
“The bad news? Over recent months we have been struggling. The good news? We aren’t going anywhere.
“Many of you will know that several years ago we were a gift-focused shop, but around lockdown the demand for this went away.
“Times have changed again, however, and we are continuing to listen to what our customers want.
“All that is to say that we are going back to our roots and rebranding as Giftology.”
“This is a change born out of necessity to adapt and survive, but it is also one we are hugely excited about.”
