A GROUP of community heroes who regularly clean up the streets of Charvil are about to get started again after a Christmas and New Year break.
Sam and Tasmin Akhbar, who lead the Charvil litter pickers, said: “This time of year is a great opportunity to stop and reflect on the year gone, on what we have done, on what can be done better, and on the hopes we have for the new year.
“We are looking forward to getting the litter picks up and running again in 2025.”
The litter pickers will be in action at Milestone Avenue, RG10 9RL, starting at the lay-by opposite Texaco, where the Kebab van usually is, on Sunday, January 19 from 10am until 11am.
