THE ALDWORTH Philharmonic Orchestra is back in action this weekend.
The musical group, comprising musicians from the Reading and Wokingham areas, will be performing four pieces, all based on the theme of dancing and storytelling.
The programme features Florence Price’s Colonial Dance, Malcolm Arnold’s Cornish Dances, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s The Bamboula, Rhapsodic Dance for Orchestra, and Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherezade.
It will be held at The Great Hall on the University of Reading’s London Road campus from 7.30pm on Saturday, October 21.
Tickets cost £15, £10 for under 18s, £7 for APO’s Young Members. Under fives and people who have never been to a classical music concert before can get in free.
