READING FC moved up several places in the Championship table with victory over Swansea City.

Goals from Andy Carroll and Tom Ince ensured the Royals collected three points in their final home game of 2022.
Having lost a two-goal lead at Swansea earlier in the campaign, Reading ensured history would not repeat itself as they shut Swansea out after the visitors grabbed a goal back in the 71st minute through Liam Cullen.
The win, which is Reading’s 11th of the season, means that they move up to eighth in the table.
They go into the contest against Norwich City on Friday night level on points with the Canaries who are in fifth place.
Norwich will be under new management after they dismissed manager Dean Smith after their defeat to last gasp defeat away to Luton Town on Boxing Day.
